As you may know, Facebook is making some major changes to the News Feed. One of the biggest changes expected is that posts from pages won't be as visible in your News Feed and you’ll see more posts from friends and family. Many businesses and brands aren’t happy with this change, but we think it’s a good thing.

Like many of you, we use Facebook personally and our News Feeds were starting to feel a little chaotic. We’re hopeful this change will allow us to better connect with friends and family and share ideas with colleagues around the globe.

Unfortunately, if you really like hearing from the Public Safety Group, you'll see less from us unless you prioritize our page in your News Feed.

You can always see what we’re up to by:

  1. Visiting our Public Safety Group page directly

  2. Selecting us as a page to “see first” in your News Feed. To set this up, navigate to our page, tap the Following button and then change Default to See First in the News Feed section.

Here's a quick view of how it looks when you update your settings. Facebook has more detailed instructions on how to prioritize a person or Page in your News Feed.

As always, thanks for your support and the incredible work you do in your communities. Here’s to a great year ahead!
