By now, you've probably heard about the all new Fundamentals of Fire Fighter Skills, Third Edition. Maybe you even had a chance to review the text, but did you know? The latest fire fighter training program from Jones & Bartlett Learning is so much more than a textbook.
June 16-22, 2013 marks International Fire/EMS Safety and Health Week. The well-known
awareness week was originally developed in 2005 as one single day known as “Safety Stand Down” to focus on fire fighter safety during a time when the number of line of duty deaths (LODDs), injuries, and illnesses within the fire service were increasing exponentially. Since that time, the health and safety initiative has grown into a week-long event sponsored by the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) and the National Volunteer Fire Council (NFPA), two of Jones & Bartlett Learning’s esteemed partners.
